2021 Plan & Budget

Pomona 11/10/2020: A meeting, headed by Father Ala, was held with members of the Parish Finance, Social, Legion of Mary, Charity, and Knights of the Holy Order to begin the planning of the Church Calendar and Budget for 2021. Everyone expressed their commitment to ensuring all future events will attract as many of the Church youth, involve them in organizing the events, and making 2021 a memorable year despite the uncertainty of COVID-19. 

"It was encouraging to see the different group members come together early in the year to plan the year ahead," said Father Ala. He went on and added, "having a published plan will ensure every parish member is aware of all activities for a year-long and in advance so that they can plan their own family schedule," 

The meeting started with a prayer by Christina, followed by a presentation by Ayed where he spoke about the wants and needs of the church in 2021. He also reminded everyone of the new "Normal" that is still being defined, yet rapidly changing due to COVID-19 and the potential impacts on 2021. The attendees were then broken up into their own groups to come up with their plans and budgets for 2021. The attendees regrouped and each group presented their future draft plan. 

Each head of a group will discuss their draft plans with their group members and return the final draft on 11/27/2020. Final Plans will be published on the church website in the first week of January 2021.

The meeting concluded with a closing prayer and a thankful prayer by Majida.
